Reiki is the ancient Japanese art of "laying on of hands" also known as "energy healing”.
This holistic technique is used for stress reduction, to promote relaxation, and to accelerate our body’s own natural healing process. Reiki works by clearing and balancing your “whole” body on all levels, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The word Rei-ki is the Japanese term meaning "Universal Life Force Energy". In China the word to describe this energy force that sustains all life is called “Chi”. In India and Tibet this life force energy is known as “Prana”. When one's "life force energy" is low or depleted due to stress, illness, environmental toxins etc, we are more prone to sickness, depression, and dis-ease on all levels of our being.
Reiki is a safe, all natural, holistic healing technique that anyone can learn to work with to create healing and sustain wellness for themselves, for others and for our planet. Reiki energy is worked with to clear unhealthy or stuck energies within our body’s chakra and meridian system’s. As well within our auric field, (the energy field within and surrounding our physical body). It is then replaced with Reiki “Universal Life Force Energy”, thus bringing the body back to its optimal state of wholeness and wellness. Anyone can learn how to work with the energy of Reiki, and apply it to healing numerous facets of one's life. Reiki is taught by the transfer of energy from a certified Reiki Master Teacher to the student through a process called an “attunement”. The "attunement" process opens the student up to become a clearer and more direct channel or vessel for Universal Life Force Energy to flow freely through them, and into the world around us.
